I have a tendency to get my knickers in a twist over things that I should let slide off my back. For instance, the misspelling of The Geegy Monsters name, or the mispronunciation of his last name. I can be pedantic at times like that. This is an entry about one of those things…
Dear American, just because the UK is an exceptionally small country in relation to this gaping mass if a continent, do not assume that you know every place in it…
I cannot count the times I have had people tell me that they probably know where I am from because their cousins, dogs, aunt’s, nephew’s pet pigeon’s breeder went there once. Or the, “Do you know such and such”. WTF???
No I do not know every single British person that exists on that island. How the hell would I you moron? Do you think everyone in Oregon knows each other? Of course they don’t you fucking arse.
And just because you visited there once, do not assume that the photo of you outside Big Ben gives you some kind of inner knowledge of the entire UK. Visiting London once when you were ten does not make you a fucking expert on every single town and village in that country.

the devil at large is a book about henry miller. it’s basically in defense of him and given the fact that he was considered terribly obscene and in fact, was a large part of the change in the obscenity laws, it’s a fitting title. in addition, he wrote a book called the devil at large…
the devil’s dictionary is a book on the subversion of words. it’s rather fitting given my penchant for femses and cuntalicious type things…
