So here are the ladies, e, Dawn and Kaya, of last nights Cunt Club known to the mortals as our Women’s book club. Our book this time round was The Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston.

I *really* enjoyed the book. It was actually really hard to discuss in an intellectual manner as it defies the rational and logical and favours instead, a mix between mythology and fact. A exquisite blend of folklore and the struggles of a Chinese Woman growing up in America.

I found Kingston to be an exceptionally emotive author and also there is an extreme ability to transcend particulars and show one the similarities in being a Woman growing. Fantasy became so real to me that it was as if I too, could have had Fa Mu Lan’s experiences. I highly recommend this book…

We had a great time too. Dawn has a cuntastic new lofty apartment thing that I am supremely jealous of. Wine, Kaya cookies and laughter…
