Cross Stitching for Jesus
I went to Pearl with The Foot today to buy a needlepoint kit. I was kind of disheartened when we got there as they were all absolutely repulsive and not at all like the cool ones I saw online yesterday…
Then I rethought everything and decided that the more disgusting something was, the more I liked it. Hence the Jesus cross stitch kit shown in the picture. I have decided to do loads of disgusting religious ones and then sew them all together onto fabric and make it a throw for my futon.
Hahahaaaaaaaa
In addition, today is Dr. King’s day, so I am sewing Jesus for him! I think I am going to freestyle a bit and sew a speech bubble from one of Jesus’ stigmata that says MLK rocks.
Does anyone know if cross stitching is the same as needlepoint..? I doubt it unless 90 year old ladies find some enjoyment in my website…
Addendum:
I don’t want to sound like a wingey, winey quitter, but this shit is difficult. I just thought you picked up the thread and sewed. Oh fucking no. You have to combine different strands of each thread to make the colours and then they have these weard codes to tell you what to do. I mean, I am anal, but I am not sure if even I am capable of these levels of anal-ness. I think I should have started on the kiddie kit…
